AJMRTC HLK-LD2410C millimeter wave radar is a popular human presence sensor based on FMCW technology. Different from traditional PIR infrared sensors which only capture obvious movement, this radar can identify subtle body tremor and breathing to confirm stationary human occupancy. It supports Bluetooth wireless connection with the HLKRadarTool APP on Android and iOS, so you can modify parameters and view real-time radar data without extra serial debugging adapters. It provides two output forms: simple GPIO trigger signal for direct switch control and UART serial port to read target distance, motion energy and static presence status. It can be hidden behind plastic, wood and other non-metallic panels without reserved sensing windows, suitable for ceiling and wall mounting in bedrooms, offices and corridors. Metal objects will block millimeter wave signals and cause detection failure. It is widely used for smart lighting, automatic switch control, room occupancy monitoring and home automation DIY projects.
