AJMRTC rain drop sensor module is designed to detect rainfall and ambient surface moisture. It consists of a separate rain sensing plate and a signal processing control board based on the LM393 comparator. When raindrops fall onto the exposed sensing PCB, the surface resistance changes, which the module converts into an electrical signal. You can rotate the onboard potentiometer to adjust the trigger sensitivity according to your needs, to catch fine drizzle or only respond to heavy rain. It provides both analog and digital output interfaces. The digital output gives a simple high/low level for trigger control, while the analog pin outputs continuous voltage for roughly measuring rainfall intensity. The sensing plate can be placed outside, while the main control board stays indoors to avoid water damage. This sensor is widely applied in smart home rain-sensing window control, automatic greenhouse monitoring, weather station projects, vehicle rain reminder systems and student electronic experiments.
