- This Planet MTB-RJ compatible 10GBASE-T SFP+ transceiver connects 10 Gigabit fiber switch ports to standard copper structured cabling. It uses an RJ-45 interface and works with Cat6a or Cat7 twisted pair cable at 10Gbps, so you can reach copper-only servers, access points and edge switches without adding a media converter.
- The module auto-negotiates across four speeds. It runs 10Gbps up to 30 meters, 5Gbps and 2.5Gbps up to 50 meters, and 1000Mbps up to 100 meters, which makes it a practical choice for mixed environments where not every endpoint is 10G ready yet.
- Power draw is 2.5W and the module is rated for commercial temperature operation from 0 to 70°C. It is MSA compliant and programmed to be recognized by Planet switches that accept the MTB-RJ. Every unit is tested on the matching equipment before it ships.
