Juniper QFX-SFP-10GE-SR Compatible 10GBASE-SR SFP+ Transceiver Module (MMF, 850nm, 300m, LC, DOM)
This Juniper QFX-SFP-10GE-SR compatible SFP+ transceiver moves 10GBASE-SR and 10GBASE-SW traffic across multimode fiber at 850nm, reaching 300 meters on OM3, 400 meters on OM4, and 82 meters on OM2, through an LC duplex interface. In a QFX spine and leaf build, most links are inside one hall and fall well within that reach, which is exactly where short-reach optics make more sense than paying long-reach prices.
Digital Optical Monitoring is built in, reporting temperature, voltage, and optical power live so a fading link can be caught during maintenance rather than during an outage. The module is built to the SFP+ MSA, SFF-8431, SFF-8432, and IEEE 802.3ae standards for clean interoperation across mixed-vendor fabrics.
Each unit is programmed with Juniper EEPROM coding and tested in Juniper 10G switches, routers, and network interface cards before shipping, so the port treats it exactly as it would the OEM QFX-SFP-10GE-SR, at a much lower cost.
