Enterasys 10GB-SR-SFPP Compatible 10GBASE-SR SFP+ Transceiver Module (MMF, 850nm, 300m, LC, DOM)
This Enterasys 10GB-SR-SFPP compatible SFP+ transceiver carries 10GBASE-SR and 10GBASE-SW traffic over multimode fiber at 850nm through an LC duplex interface, reaching 300 meters on OM3, 400 meters on OM4, and 82 meters on older OM2. Because Extreme carried the Enterasys part numbering forward after the acquisition, the same module also serves as a replacement in legacy Enterasys switches still in service.
Built-in Digital Optical Monitoring reports temperature, voltage, and optical power in real time, so a dirty connector or fading transmitter shows up before it drops a link. The module meets the SFP+ MSA, SFF-8431, SFF-8432, and IEEE 802.3ae standards for clean interoperation in mixed-vendor networks.
Every unit is programmed with Enterasys EEPROM coding and tested in Enterasys 10G switches, routers, and network interface cards before it ships, so the port recognizes it exactly as it would the OEM 10GB-SR-SFPP, at a much lower price.
