Add a 10 Gigabit multimode uplink to an Amer Networks switch without paying OEM prices. This SPPM-10GSR compatible SFP+ transceiver carries 10GBASE-SR and 10GBASE-SW traffic at 850nm through an LC duplex interface, reaching 300 meters on OM3, 400 meters on OM4, and 82 meters on older OM2. That covers the runs between a wiring closet, a server room, and the switches serving a small business or office building.

Built-in Digital Optical Monitoring reports temperature, voltage, and optical power in real time, so a dirty connector or fading transmitter shows up before it drops a link. The module meets the SFP+ MSA, SFF-8431, SFF-8432, and IEEE 802.3ae standards for clean interoperation with whatever optic sits at the far end.

Every unit is programmed with Amer EEPROM coding and tested in Amer 10G switches and network interface cards before it ships, so the port recognizes it exactly as it would the OEM SPPM-10GSR. Typical uses are switch uplinks, small business and office fiber runs, and short in-building links.
