Finisar FCLF-8521-3 Compatible 10/100/1000BASE-T SFP Transceiver Module (Copper, 100m, RJ45)
Copper Gigabit in an SFP cage, with fallback to older speeds. This Finisar FCLF-8521-3 compatible module runs 10, 100, and 1000BASE-T over Cat5, Cat5e, or better cable to 100 meters (328 ft) through an RJ45 connector, so one port can serve legacy 10 and 100 Mbps equipment as well as Gigabit hardware. It meets the Gigabit Ethernet and 10/100/1000BASE-T specifications in IEEE 802.3-2002 and IEEE 802.3ab.
Since Finisar sells standards-based optics rather than vendor-coded modules, this one ships uncoded to the SFP MSA and works in open networking platforms, white-box switches, media converters, and any MSA-compliant equipment. Each module is engineered, produced, and tested in-factory, and against the OEM part it can cut networking cabling costs on a project by up to 80 percent.
