F5 Networks OPT-0016-00 Compatible 10GBASE-SR SFP+ Transceiver Module (MMF, 850nm, 300m, LC, DOM)
Connect a BIG-IP appliance to adjacent switching at 10 Gigabit over the multimode fiber already in the rack row. This F5 OPT-0016-00 compatible SFP+ transceiver runs 10GBASE-SR and 10GBASE-SW traffic at 850nm through an LC duplex pair, covering 300 meters on OM3, 400 meters on OM4, and 82 meters on older OM2.
Digital Optical Monitoring feeds back live temperature, voltage, and optical power, which is worth having on a load balancer sitting inline with production traffic, since a weakening link surfaces during maintenance rather than during an incident. Built to the SFP+ MSA, SFF-8431, SFF-8432, and IEEE 802.3ae standards, it interoperates cleanly with whatever optic sits at the far end.
Each unit is programmed with F5 EEPROM coding and bench-verified in F5 10G platform interfaces before shipping, so the port accepts it exactly as it would the OEM OPT-0016-00, without the OEM price.
