Intel E10GSFPSR Compatible 10GBASE-SR SFP+ Transceiver Module (MMF, 850nm, 300m, LC, DOM)
This Intel E10GSFPSR compatible SFP+ transceiver carries 10GBASE-SR and 10GBASE-SW traffic over multimode fiber at 850nm through an LC duplex interface, reaching 300 meters on OM3, 400 meters on OM4, and 82 meters on older OM2. That covers the run from a server to top-of-rack or to an aggregation switch, which is where most Intel adapter links terminate.
Intel adapters are among the stricter platforms for optics acceptance, so each unit is programmed with Intel EEPROM coding and tested in Intel 10G server adapters and network interface cards before it ships, and the port recognizes it exactly as it would the OEM E10GSFPSR. Built-in Digital Optical Monitoring reports temperature, voltage, and optical power in real time, and the module meets the SFP+ MSA, SFF-8431, SFF-8432, and IEEE 802.3ae standards for clean interoperation with whatever sits at the far end.
