Extreme Networks 10GB-LR-SFPP Compatible 10GBASE-LR SFP+ Transceiver Module (SMF, 1310nm, 10km, LC, DOM)
This Extreme Networks 10GB-LR-SFPP compatible SFP+ transceiver carries 10GBASE-LR and 10GBASE-LW traffic up to 10 kilometers over single-mode fiber at 1310nm through an LC duplex interface. Because Extreme carried the Enterasys part numbering forward after the acquisition, the same module also serves as a replacement in legacy Enterasys switches. Built-in Digital Optical Monitoring reports temperature, voltage, and optical power in real time, so a degrading link shows up before it drops.
The module meets the SFP+ MSA, SFF-8431, SFF-8432, and IEEE 802.3ae standards, so it interoperates cleanly in mixed-vendor networks. It suits Summit and ExtremeSwitching uplinks, campus backbones, building-to-building fiber runs, metro area links, and data center interconnects. Every unit is engineered, produced, and tested in-factory, then verified in real network hardware before it ships. Against the OEM part it can cut optical cabling costs on a project by up to 80 percent.
