Sony OTM-10GSR1 Compatible 10GBASE-SR SFP+ Transceiver Module (MMF, 850nm, 300m, LC, DOM)
Keep a Sony broadcast or IP production system running on 10 Gigabit fiber without paying OEM prices. This OTM-10GSR1 compatible SFP+ transceiver carries 10GBASE-SR and 10GBASE-SW traffic over multimode fiber at 850nm through an LC duplex interface, reaching 300 meters on OM3, 400 meters on OM4, and 82 meters on older OM2. That covers the runs between camera control units, switchers, and routing gear inside a studio, control room, or outside broadcast facility.
Built-in Digital Optical Monitoring reports temperature, voltage, and optical power in real time, so a dirty connector or fading transmitter shows up before it interrupts a live signal path. The module meets the SFP+ MSA, SFF-8431, SFF-8432, and IEEE 802.3ae standards for clean interoperation with whatever optic sits at the far end.
Every unit is programmed with Sony EEPROM coding and tested in Sony 10G equipment before it ships, so the port recognizes it exactly as it would the OEM OTM-10GSR1. Typical uses are studio and broadcast facility links, IP video production networks, and short in-building runs between equipment rooms.
