Ciena XCVR-S00Z85 Compatible 10GBASE-SR SFP+ Transceiver Module (MMF, 850nm, 300m, LC, DOM)
This Ciena XCVR-S00Z85 compatible SFP+ transceiver carries 10GBASE-SR and 10GBASE-SW traffic over multimode fiber at 850nm through an LC duplex interface, reaching 300 meters on OM3, 400 meters on OM4, and 82 meters on older OM2. Inside a central office or exchange building, that covers intra-site links between shelves and aggregation equipment without long-reach optics.
Built-in Digital Optical Monitoring reports temperature, voltage, and optical power in real time, which carrier operations teams rely on to spot a degrading link before it affects a service. The module meets the SFP+ MSA, SFF-8431, SFF-8432, and IEEE 802.3ae standards for clean interoperation in mixed-vendor networks.
Every unit is programmed with Ciena EEPROM coding and tested in Ciena 10G platforms and network interface cards before it ships, so the port recognizes it exactly as it would the OEM XCVR-S00Z85.
