SFP to RJ45 Transceiver Module
Will this work with my Cisco switch?
Confirmed Compatible: Cisco, Ubiquiti, Netgear, Fortinet, D-Link, TP-Link, Linksys, Edge-core, Intel, EMC, Meraki, FS, Norkia, QTC, Broadcom, Supermicro, and Other Open Switches.
Do I need the 10G-only or Auto model for my 2.5G router?
1. Your Device Network Port Speed (1G/2.5G/5G) ? AUTO-SENSING
2. Your Device Network Port Speed (10G) ? FIXED-SPEED
Does this 10G/5G/2.5G/1G Auto-Sensing SFP+ adapter support 100M and 10M connections?
ASIN: B0FH2T42FP (Model: SFP-10G-RJ45-A) YES to Auto-Sensing speeds (10G?5G?2.5G?1G?100M). Not for obsolete 10M devices.
ASIN: B0FLKHXQ3D (Model: SFP-10G-RJ45-A3R) YES to Auto-Sensing speeds (10G?5G?2.5G?1G). Not for obsolete 100M/10M devices.
Why does my SFP+ adapter get burning hot?
Your SFP+ to RJ45 adapter is designed to operate safely at 14-158°F(-10~+70°C ) - this is completely normal for high-speed modules. No need for concern!
Can I use regular Ethernet cables (like CAT6), or do I need special ones?
We recommend using CAT6a or CAT7 shielded twisted-pair (STP) cables for stable 10G performance, especially over distances longer than 15 meters. CAT6 cables may work for short runs (<10m), could not rated for full 10GBASE-T bandwidth.
