This adapter panel puts 48 LC duplex ports, or 96 individual fibers, into a single rack unit. That is the highest density in the 1U class and twice what a 24-port panel delivers, which matters most in data center rows where rack height is the constraint and every unit given to patching is a unit not available for switching or compute.
The aqua adapters identify OM3 and OM4 multimode fiber, the grades used for 10G, 40G, and 100G short-reach links inside a building. Pairing high fiber count with OM3/OM4 makes this a cross-connect or main distribution panel rather than an edge termination: the point where structured cabling from across the facility lands and gets patched to equipment.
The plate is cold rolled steel with a powder-coated finish, measuring 19 x 1.73 inches (482.6 x 44 mm) to fit any standard 19 inch rack or cabinet, and the panel is RoHS compliant.
