Dell CBL-QSFP-40GE-PASS-2M Compatible 40G QSFP+ Passive Direct Attach Copper (DAC) Cable, 2m (6.6ft)
- The Dell CBL-QSFP-40GE-PASS-2M compatible 40G QSFP+ passive Direct Attach Copper cable delivers a full 40 Gigabit Ethernet link in a single ready to use assembly. Both QSFP+ ends are factory terminated onto the Twinax copper, so nothing needs to be purchased, inserted or aligned on site.
- Passive copper carries the signal with no active electronics in the path, which keeps power draw and latency close to zero. That is why DAC is the usual answer for short 40G connections: switch to server, switch stacking, and storage uplinks. The 2 meter length adds enough reach to cross into an adjacent rack or route through cable management with slack to spare. A 100 impedance design keeps the signal clean at 40Gbps, and the cable is hot swappable so links can be moved without powering equipment down.
- The assembly operates from 0°C to 70°C, stores from -40°C to 85°C, and meets MSA, SFF-8436 and RoHS requirements. Every cable is programmed and tested on Dell equipment before shipping.
