This Ubiquiti UACC-DAC-SFP10-3M compatible 10G SFP+ passive Direct Attach Copper cable is a factory terminated 3 meter link for 10 Gigabit Ethernet. The SFP+ connectors are fixed to the Twinax copper at both ends, so there are no transceivers to buy separately and no fiber ends to clean or align.
Passive DAC uses almost no power and adds almost no latency, which makes it the standard choice for short 10G connections: UniFi switch uplinks, Dream Machine and gateway links, switch to server runs, and storage connections. At 3 meters this is the longest of the common passive lengths, enough to reach between racks or run through overhead cable management while still avoiding the cost of optics and fiber. The cable is plug and play, hot swappable, and built to 100 impedance to hold signal integrity at 10Gbps.
Operating range is 0°C to 70°C with storage from -40°C to 85°C, and the cable meets MSA, SFF-8431 and RoHS requirements. Each unit is programmed and tested on Ubiquiti equipment before it ships.
