Zhone MALC-GE-SFP-TP Compatible 10/100/1000BASE-T SFP Transceiver Module (Copper, 100m, RJ45)
This Zhone MALC-GE-SFP-TP compatible SFP module delivers 10, 100, and 1000BASE-T connectivity over Cat5, Cat5e, or better copper cable at distances up to 100 meters (328 ft) through an RJ45 connector. Triple-speed support suits subscriber handoffs in access networks, where a single port often has to serve customer premises equipment running at older 10 and 100 Mbps rates alongside Gigabit hardware. It meets the Gigabit Ethernet and 10/100/1000BASE-T specifications in IEEE 802.3-2002 and IEEE 802.3ab.
Every unit is programmed with Zhone EEPROM coding and tested in Zhone 1G access devices and interface cards before it ships, so the port recognizes it exactly as it would the OEM MALC-GE-SFP-TP. Each module is engineered, produced, and tested in-factory, and against the OEM part it can cut networking cabling costs on a project by up to 80 percent.
