The extra distance between the 2 cores ensures very low capacitance and low inductance for a speaker cable. These conductors are then covered by a proprietary PVC-blend for a tough yet highly flexible outer jacket. We only use the highest-grade connectors for these audiophile cable assemblies. Eminence 3-micron, 24K Gold plated, audiophile-grade, 4mm (standard diameter) banana plugs with a fully insulated body to prevent accidental shorting & multi-spade connectors, (compatible with 8mm and 6mm binding posts), provide excellent abrasion & corrosion resistance and unmatched performance. The banana & spade plugs are specially reinforced to support heavy gauge cables (special shaft & thicker profile).
