Is the location update fast and accurate?
Speed depends on nearby Apple devices. More people = faster updates. In malls, airports, offices, it works great. No SIM card, no monthly fee, one battery lasts a full year. Designed for finding lost keys or bags, not for live car tracking.
Pairing gets stuck or shows an error?
Occasional network delay with Apple servers. Quick fixes: Close Find My app, switch to Wi-Fi, retry. Restart iPhone. Wait 1-2 minutes. Try another Apple device. iOS 14.5+ and Bluetooth on. Not a defect.
Device won't turn on or location never updates?
90% of cases: dead battery. Replace with a new CR2032 (positive side up), press button for beep. No update? No Apple devices passed by — normal, not a defect.
The beep sound is too low?
60–70 dB, meets Apple standard. Loud enough in quiet rooms. We chose 10–12 months battery life over a louder beep. Use "left behind" alert for peace of mind.
