Fault tolerance and redundancy is achieved by bundling and aggregating multiple ports into groups to safeguard network performance or extend network bandwidth, and real-time self-detection and routing of traffic from failed ports to other members of the same group for uninterrupted high-performance communications. At the same time, the adapter offloads LSOs, GSOs from the host software to reduce CPU overhead. CPU resources are freed up for other applications.
