Will this work for Standard File storage things downloaded from my Desk Top computer? Or is it just for an X Box

A PC hard drive and a Xbox hard drive are the same thing except how they are formatted. I believe this one comes preformatted for Xbox. It will work on PC, but you would have to plug it into your PC and reformat it first.

Question 2

You just plug it in to the usb for xbox one and it's ready to go, correct?

You may have to re-format it by the following steps: turn off xbox and wait for the fan to stop spinning. Then unplug the console. Plug in the Avolusion 1TB External Hard Drive. Turn the console back on. It should detect the device right away so don't press any buttons right away. Click format for Games and Apps. The little window will go away but you don't know how long it will take to reformat the drive. So I waited about 30 minutes. Then shut the console down all the way as in the beginning while leaving the device plugged in. Now turn it back on and check in the Settings to see the device detected and ready to go.

Will this fit in the Xbox One Media Center Accessory?

No it's not designed for it. It'll sit nicely on top though. You may have to re-format it and then hard reset the console to correctly configure the device. So if it doesn't show up at first, it's not broken, you just need to do a full reset and plug the device in BEFORE starting the device.
