HOW TO TAKE YOUR TEMPERATURE:
Press the on-off power button. A “beep” tone will sound and for 2 seconds the window will display 188.8°F. This indicates that the unit is in proper working condition.
Place the thermometer tip at the base of your tongue.
Hold thermometer in the same spot under your tongue with mouth closed for approximately 20-30 seconds.
When the peak temperature has been reached, the °F will stop flashing and the thermometer will sound 10 long beeps if the temperature is below 100°F.
If the temperature is above 100°F the unit will sound ten sets of three short beeps each.
FEVER ALARM
Alerts you of temperatures above 100°F.
