Why are you saying non programmable? It is progammable if it is the model you say it is.

What it means is that you can schedule (Program) thermostat changes for four different time periods a day, such as: Set the thermostat for a particular temperature for wake up time, leave time, return time and sleep time. You can perform this programing from the unit itself or from your smart phone.
