Nova n60 Exploded view
The Nova 60 features a multi-layered approach to sound dampening, utilizing EVA foam between the plate and the PCB which eliminates noise from switch housing. To further reduce the sound profile and improve on deeper acoustics we added a custom-fitted Poron foam, like memory foam, which takes the shape of the entire case for maximum fillage and sound reduction.
Tap Layer
The Nova 60 also introduces Ranked's own take on "tap mode", which allows you to assign a single quick-tap function to any key on the keyboard.
When the Tap function is activated, tapping (<200ms) the FN1, FN2, Right Shift or Right Control keys give access to the arrow keys. However, a long press (>200ms) will retain the default function, allowing more flexibility and expanding the keyboard's functionality.
You can customize the debounce time for the tap layer via the Ranked Utility. From 0ms to 1000ms
