The Q4 is a compact custom all-metal keyboard engineered to elevate your typing experience across various environments. It boasts a fully CNC-machined aluminum body, a double-gasket structure, and support for QMK/VIA for premium performance. Full compatibility with QMK and VIA enables effortless programming and remapping of each key. The open-source firmware provides extensive customization for layouts, shortcuts, and lighting effects. Hot-swappable functionality supports nearly all 3-pin and 5-pin MX-style mechanical switches, including Cherry, Gatoron, Kailh, and Panda, without requiring soldering. It arrives pre-installed with Gatoron G Pro mechanical linear red switches for responsive operation. Screw-in stabilizers are mounted on the PCB for larger keys such as the space bar, Shift, Enter, and Delete to minimize key wobble. An innovative double-gasket design incorporates silicone pads between the top and bottom cases. This significantly dampens sound resonance between metal parts and reduces impact noise, preserving the flexibility of the gasket structure while enhancing overall typing acoustics. South-facing RGB LEDs are positioned to better illuminate the backlight from the typist's perspective when paired with the included premium non-shine-through PBT keycaps. This orientation also prevents interference with OEM or Cherry-profile alternative keycaps.
