This balanced 1/4 inch TRS to XLR male cable is designed to transfer balanced audio signal. It is widely used on mixer, audio interface, preamp, Speaker, studio monitor, etc. This quarter inch to XLR male cable doesn't have impedance matching transformer inside, it's not suitable for High-Z output instrument like guitar and bass. Guitar and bass signal should go into 1/4" instrument jack, but not XLR jack.
