It lets you use affordable mainstream NVMe SSDs instead of the costly original Apple proprietary SSD. macOS 10.13 High Sierra or newer is required. SATA M.2 SSD is not supported. M.2 SSD is sold separately. Perfect for notebook repair, refurbishment and DIY capacity expansion.
