Overview The Environment X6 Sensor is a compact 6-in-1 air quality sensor module that combines gas and environmental measurements in one board. It supports detection of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC), Formaldehyde (HCHO), Carbon Monoxide (CO), and also measures temperature and humidityideal for embedded indoor monitoring, data logging, and smart building prototypes. For communication, the module uses a wired UART serial interface with 9600 bps (8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity), so you can read sensor values using standard serial routines without complex pin requirements.

This UART gas sensor module works well as a building block for custom dashboards, alert systems, and long-term indoor air monitoring projects. The sensing core is based on EC Sense solid polymer electrochemical technology, using a multi-electrode integrated structure and solid electrolyte system to generate signals for gas concentration detection, with solid-state design characteristics highlighted by the manufacturer. To speed up development, online resources and example code are provided for Raspberry Pi, for Raspberry Pi Pico, and platforms compatible with Arduino and ESP32, making it easier to integrate this IAQ/TVOC/HCHO/CO sensor into embedded projects and prototypes.
