This 2x5pin to power & reset switch adapter board is designed for desktop PC frontpanel conversion and hardware replacement projects. It takes the dual 5pin frontpanel signal from your motherboard and outputs physical power on/off button, reset restart button together with HDD activity LED indicator. The LED will flash synchronously according to harddisk readwrite status, offering clear visual working feedback.

Fully hardwarebased circuit design brings native compatibility for Windows 7, Windows 10 and Windows 11, no extra driver, firmware or auxiliary power supply needed. The compact PCB saves space inside chassis and also works great for openframe test bench setup, old case refurbishment and custom DIY computer builds. Each signal terminal has clear marking to help users avoid wrong wiring during assembly.

Just connect the 2×5pin cable to your motherboard frontpanel header. After correct wiring, press the power button to boot or shut down your PC; press reset button for forced restart; observe HDD LED flashing to monitor disk access status.

Important notes: Pay attention to positive and negative polarity when connecting the HDD LED; reversed polarity will make indicator fail to light up.
