The Lenel LNL-8000 is a star multiplexer that provides two-way communication protocol conversion and connection to alternative communication devices. It has eight downstream RS-485 2-wire ports or four RS-485 4-wire ports. It can extend the effective distance between an LNL-500 Intelligent System Controller (ISC) and any downstream device.
