The subwoofers' successfuly relies in their ability to deliver better quality and RMS power than all other entry level offerings of their competition. Break Your Subwoofer InA new subwoofer must go through a short but important process of 'break-in' before it is run under harsh conditions. The 'break-in' process will ensure the subwoofer is able to perform as it has been designed to.
Over-driving the woofer before it has been properly broken-in will usually result in premature failure and poor performance. Surround FoamUnlike rubber, foam is an alternative for the surround in speakers and subwoofers. Foam is in general more flexible than rubber, giving the woofer a slightly higher efficiency. This also translates to better excursion. (How far the cone of a speaker linearly travels from its resting position).
