OverviewThe PCIe To M. 2 SFP HAT+ is a multi-function PCIe expansion board designed for Raspberry Pi 5 development and embedded applications. It combines M. 2 NVMe SSD expansion and Gigabit SFP fiber Ethernetconnection in one compact HAT+ adapter board. Based on the ASM1182e PCIe expansion chip, this PCIe HAT+ module splits the PCIe interface of Pi 5 into two independent PCIe lanes. One lane is used for M. 2 NVMe SSD expansion, while the other lane connectsto the Gigabit Ethernet controller solution for SFP fiber network support. The M.
2 slot supports NVMe SSDs in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 form factors. It can be used for system boot drives, project data storage, lightweight NAS applications, edge computing gateways, developmentservers and embedded storage expansion. For wired network expansion, the board adopts an RTL8111H + RTL8213B solution and provides a standard SFP port. With a compatible SFP optical module installed, users can build Gigabit fiber Ethernet links forlong-distance wired network transmission, industrial communication, lab testing and network development projects. The board follows the Pi HAT+ standard and includes an onboard EEPROM and 220Pin header, allowing Raspberry Pi 5 software and firmware to recognize the expansion board more easily.
Onboard LED indicatorshelp users check M. 2 activity, network status and board operation during setup and testing.
