Global Cache GC-IRL IR Learner
Easily plug in the Global Cache GC-IRL IR Learner to a standard RS232 serial port of any computer and use it to learn IR codes to control infrared-driven AV equipment. The GC-IRL transmits infrared signals as Comma-delimited ASCII text string with a terminator. The ASCII structure simplifies IR recording and playback.
Right out of the box, the GC-IRL is set to set to 9600 baud, 8 bits, one stop, no parity, and no flow control. It utilizes a female DB9 connector to link directly to Global Cache GC-100 network adapters or RS232 serial ports.
The GC-IRL comes with an IR Learner Utility CD that captures and converts the learned codes into other GC-IRL formats. You can use the IR Learner with the complete iTach line. With the GC-IRL's stored codes, you're able to control IR devices from any PC over the network.
