The Air Slimmer series from SilverStone represents a collection of fans that are slimmer than the industry-standard 25mm fans, specifically designed for Small Form Factor (SFF) and Medium Form Factor (MFF) cases with space constraints. As a leader and pioneer in the SFF landscape, SilverStone recognized the critical importance of every inch of space in the design and construction of SFF cases. This led to the creation of a series of slim fans that excel in space-limited systems. Simultaneously, the goal was to design fans that, despite their reduced thickness, maintained performance at par with standard fans.

Following the success of the Air Slimmer 120 and Air Slimmer 90, which proved to be powerhouses when compared to other slim fans on the market, the Air Slimmer series demonstrated its value. Consequently, SilverStone has expanded the Air Slimmer series with a new size variant of 140mm; the Air Slimmer 140 and Air Slimmer 140 ARGB. The Air Slimmer 140 and Air Slimmer 140 ARGB measure a total thickness of 15.5 mm and feature a 4-pin PWM control function for regulating fan speed, with a wide speed range of 0 ~ 1, 700 RPM.

Inside the fan housing, there is an all-copper Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB) which offers superior performance during operations, ensuring smooth rotations while minimizing noise levels and achieving a longer lifespan compared to other bearings. The Air Slimmer 140 ARGB utilizes a transparent housing with 10 ARGB LEDs incorporated, which can be dynamically controlled and capable of producing stunning lighting effects when powered on. A new feature introduced in the Air Slimmer 140, not present in previous Air Slimmer fans, is the incorporation of SilverStone's Shark Force fan blades. These act as a shark skin-like surface pattern for airflow to travel smoothly over the fan blades, thereby reducing noise and enhancing airflow.

Each corner of the AS140 's frame have rubber pads included to further stabilize and minimize noises caused by vibrations. Last but not least, the Air Slimmer series features a modular cabling design with precisely measured cables, allowing for simplified installation and significantly improving cable management.
