If you are not confident working with vinyl, please contact a local professional installation Service in your area, such as a vehicle detailing or graphic installation Service. Remove all emblems, lettering, or other uneven surfaces from your tailgate. You may also wish to remove the handle. clean the surface of your tailgate of any dust or debris with a mild non-solvent cleaner, and ensure the surface is dry before installation (No wet installation). place the decal design side-down on a flat surface and peel off the paper backing, taking care to ensure that the decal does not stick to itself or other surfaces. being careful not to stretch the vinyl, pull taut and affix the decal to all four corners of your tailgate. pad a credit card/driver's license with a soft cloth or other covering and use this as a flattening tool to smooth the vinyl into place, starting from the center and moving outward in all directions a little at a time. go slowly And take your time. If a bubble or crease forms, slowly And gently peel back the vinyl (once the center is firmly in place, The corners can be peeled back) and firmly press it back down into place, starting from the spot where the bubble formed.

you may wish to use a hair dryer or heat gun to soften the vinyl around difficult curves, ridges, or other irregular shapes in your tailgate, but this is typically optional and not necessary. once the decal is fully installed, use an xacto Blade or other Razor/hobby knife to trim the excess vinyl around all edges, handles, lights, etc. enjoy your stylish new tailgate wrap!
