The key difference lies in the round base: instead of aluminium, the RB-A300-I features a solid iron base weighing 2.5 kg ( 5.5 lb) nearly twice as heavy as the standard version. This extra weight lowers the center of gravity significantly, virtually eliminating tip-over risks even when you mount a heavy cinema camera, a large LED panel light, a boom microphone, or shoot outdoors in light wind conditions. Despite the heavier base, the RB-A300-I remains highly portable. The three-section anodised aluminium telescopic tube uses two quick-release toggles for effortless height adjustments from 61 cm to 151 cm ( 2459.4 inches). When collapsed, the entire unit measures just 61 cm (24 inches) easily fitting into a suitcase or travel bag. The bottom felt on the iron base protects your floor surface while allowing smooth repositioning. Versatility is built in. The top platform features both 1/4" and 3/8" auto-switch screws, allowing direct attachment of gimbals, cameras, and microphones.
