This is a natural result of the high-temperature clear coating process ^^ These pens have been polished by hand to create a perfectly smooth, round-shaped barrel. Fine/extra-fine point stainless steel nib ( 0.35 mm). Screw-on cap. Body is made from solid brass. Black mother of pearl is inlaid onto the barrel, then coated in multiple layers of clear lacquer for a protective and glossy finish ^^. 999 platinum-plated brass fittings. Each pen is handmade, unique, and serialized in a limited edition production ^^ The fountain ink refill is a Standard International / European size cartridge and is selectively compatible with a variety of commercially available fountain ink refills ^^
