Is the displayed capacity different from the nominal capacity?
The capacity of storage products at the time of factory shipment is usually calculated based on the formula 1MB = 1000KB and 1GB = 1000MB. However, the operating system uses a binary algorithm: 1MB = 1024KB and 1GB = 1024MB. Additionally, some of the capacities listed on solid-state drive devices are used for formatting and other functions, and are not all dedicated to data storage. Why doesn't the hard drive show up in "My Computer" after installation?
