The PRO 400 DX has many of the same professional features of the PRO 700 DX and even adds a few more of its own. Despite its lightweight and ease of use it can hold nearly 10 pounds of camera and lens. Plus the head is removable, so that a variety of other heads, like one of the SLIK ball heads or the Master Classic head for heavy telephoto lenses, can be used in place of the included 3-way pan head with quick release plate. The PRO 400 DX is an all-metal tripod, which is more than suitable for digital or 35 mm SLR cameras and medium format cameras.
