With a maximum height of 4" (102mm) and base diameter of 2" (52mm), the professional low profile PBH-52LP Ball Head provides the best of both convenience and stability. Weighing in at just 1.4 lbs (650g), the PBH-52LP is easy to pack and carry while supporting up to 66lbs (30kg) of equipment. Adjusting the camera on the PBH-52LP is easily done via two main knobs. The main lock knob is equipped with a tension dial for extra stability to match the load capacity. The independent pan knob allows full 360-degree rotation for multi-stitched panoramas.

Degree markers assist in determining precise pan movement. The PBH-52LP comes equipped with two U-shaped drop notches that allow greater flexibility in shifting 90 degrees for horizontal and vertical orientations. Complete with a leveling marker and sprit bubble, the photographer can easily determine placement on uneven ground. The Arca-type quick shoe allows the photographer to easily put on or take off the camera. The head comes with U3/8" thread and includes U1/4" screw adapters that you can attach to most tripod setups. A built-in shoe stopper prevents the camera from falling off the tripod.

Slik does not recommend using traditional Arca-type compatible quick release plates or L-brackets. Though the head will allow you to mount the plate it does not create a strong enough connection to allow the lever to lock in place.
