AJMRTC SC16IS752 serial expansion HAT solves the shortage of native UART ports on Raspberry Pi. It communicates over the I2C bus and provides 2 extra UART channels plus 8 user-controllable GPIO pins. Multiple HATs can be stacked by modifying the onboard address jumpers, supporting up to 16 modules for a total of 32 serial ports. It comes with onboard status LEDs to observe sending and receiving activity easily. It is widely used for industrial serial sensors, RS232/RS485 adapters, modbus networks, IoT gateways and embedded data acquisition projects. Complete development examples and documentation are provided.
