Basically, the US version is compatible with all major carriers in the United States and offers full cellular support.

The global/Latin version works with GSM carriers such as T-Mobile, Tello, Mint, and with GSM networks outside the U.S., but it's not compatible with CDMA  U.S. carriers like AT&T, Verizon, Boost Mobile.

Please note that the global version may not allow selecting United States in the region settings; however, it does accept a U.S. Samsung account and works normally.
