It does NOT have NFC, but IT DOES have a charging problem with the Turbo Charge - and that's after feature!

Does the notification LED work? I have a friend who has a phone that is similar, and it doesn't work.

I've had mine for half a year and didn't even think about a flashing notification light as I've never seen mine blink.  However, I wonder if I have it turned off in a setting somewhere?  But no, out of the box, mine doesn't blink from what I recall.

I'm not sure, though I use it with H2O and it worked great with a few manual adjustments to settings.

Mine doesn't allow for use of 2 SIM cards at the same time.  However, either of the 2 "flavors" of SIM cards will work.

Is the phone very good for quality music storage and playback?  
Does MP3 and MP4 work OK?

Yes the sound quality and playback is excellent. There are no hissing noises or skips while playing, which I've experienced on some older phones. I use MP3s not really MP4s and supplement the 64GB of the phone's memory with another 64 GB with a micro SD card. MP4s shouldn't be a problem as long as you use an app that supports them.

Mine is on Verizon right now but it has Soso reception here because they can't find this specific phone just the reg moto g... So yes but not fully? I get LTE so long as I'm not in certain buildings. When I am outside it works great.

It most certainly does if activated on the Republic Wireless network.  I believe it really depends on your cellular provider.

Is the screen gorilla glass or similar non-scratch surface? Will this work on international frequencies as well -- especially Europe, Eurasia, and the Middle East

Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and they make an international version that had dual sim, search for Moto XT1671 but it only has 2gb ram and 32gb storage.
