for everyone who owns this card.... i hear that this card doesn't have a back plate.... regardless does it need the back plate? is it a necessary item for this graphics card? or can i just use it without it? note i'm only using one GPU and i may over clock it a bit but not crazy.

It runs cool on idle  , and works well as designed.  EVGA makes great cards.  It is an open design with two fans, so give it some space to breath, clear away any cables away from the fans of course, and make sure the back of your computer has plenty of air flow space.  Don't ram your PC into a corner or ip against a wall with shag carpeting! :-)

Does this videocard come with Destiny 2? If so how do I get the game key or download?

No, it doesn't. at least when I pre-ordered this card and as of Nov 16, I don't see it says it comes with Destiny 2.

I just got this video card. I can't say I'm that impressed with it so far considering the price. I expected to get a bit better FPS in PUBG but it doesn't seem like as much of an improvement over my GTX970 as I had hoped for. I tried the overclocking tool and get 133FPS with Heaven Benchmark tool (about 10FPS better than without overclocking) but in PUBG I seem to frequently be below 60FPS. The fans are also quite loud.  Maybe I'm not using the overclock tool correctly or have a defective unit. Does anyone else have similar experiences with this card?

This could be due to a lot of things. I would need to know your system specs to get a better idea of what is going on. I had disappointing performance when I first bought this card, I had an AMD Fx8350 and suffered massive fps drops. I upgraded to an Intel I5 7600k which I overclocked to 4.8ghz and I couldn’t be happier. The 1070ti is one of the highest performing cards on the market, without a solid build behind it, it will not live up to its full potential.
