Cons: I had to:
1. Wait several days for an email containing the first step.
2. Fail to redeem the 20 digit code on microsoft.com like I would hope.
3. Search for the https://www.amdrewards.com/pvt website from a post complaining about this.
4. Make an account.
5. Authenticate an email for the account.
6. Download a hardware checking tool to see if I had the processor in my computer.
7. Made a code that I could use to do a checkout (I'm dead serious) for free from https://www.amdrewards.com/ to get the code.
8. Got the 25 digit code that I originally would have put into microsoft.com in step 2.
9. Put in a credit card to my microsoft account to setup a recurring payment to complete the game pass activation.
10. Cancel the automatic payment on microsoft.
Overall Review: When I used to buy parts they would send me a steam code with a game, not a heap of garbage intend to stop people for redeeming it. NEWEGG has gone DOWNHILL.
Don't bother responding with your PR team unless you start giving out 25 digit codes when people make the purchase.
Cons: They rely on the number of steps required so people just dont bother. You have to download some software, then register...ect
I would be shocked if the software doesn't harvest your tasty data for resale.
Overall Review: Its free and I feel like I was ripped off.
Pros: There is nothing good about this. It is not even a promo. Not sure why they tied the promo to Halo Infinite because when you have an Xbox Live subscription you can play all Microsoft's games. I find it odd for AMD to get involved in this because AMD's CPUs are actually very good on their own and don't need promos to boost sales. Microsoft benefits more than AMD because many people will forget to cancel their Xbox subscription by 30 days (it automatically renews).
Cons: Had to open a new account with AMD, download an app to verify the CPU, then go to another AMD website, then to a Microsoft Xbox site where Halo Infinite Multiplayer is free anyway. The Campaign might have been fun but I couldn't get it to download. AMD did provide a 25 digit key but I couldn't use it to redeem the game. Xbox live site didn't recognize the key. I reached out to AMD for help and they replied, "This promotion does not include a copy of Halo Infinite, it only provides a key for a 1 month subscription to Xbox Game Pass through which the game can be accessed." OK - so call the Promo "30 Day Xbox Game Pass"!
Overall Review: The promo is a subscription that YOU have to continue paying if you want to play Halo Infinite Campaign longer than 30 days. AMD, keep making good CPUs but you can keep your lousy promos.
Cons: The code I received didn't work. I contacted customer support with my order # and my code. They could not resolve the issue.
Overall Review: I'm incredibly frustrated with Newegg.
Pros: You CAN get 1 month of xbox game pass.
Cons: Theres a paywall.
You could get three months with out a paywall, by not going with this.
Overall Review: This doesn't harm anything, but theres no benefit to buying a product that comes with this as a bonus.
Cons: Trying to get my free month of xbox was unsuccessful. Confusing and a complete waste of my time. xbox never recognized my registration.
Overall Review: Trying to get the Free game pass to work was a PITA. I never did get the xbox system to even acknowledge my free xbox game pass offer. Totally goofed up web site of xbox. Particularly messy. Lots of graphics, but horrible to use. I never got the free offer, but that is not a biggie because ANBODY can get a month of Game Pass for only $1 anyway! What a joke.
Overall Review: I never bothered to use it as the process to redeem it was a pain in the neck. I already own the game anyway so didn't see a point in trying.
Pros: One free month of Game Pass
Cons: One free month of Game Pass I won't use.
Have to install tracking software just to claim reward instead of providing serial or something to AMD.
Overall Review: Gave it a neutral rating because while it's nice that you get a free month of Game Pass, they could have just given a code to redeem on Microsoft's end instead of having you install software that collects your data.
