Case okay, but make sure to get a mini SFX PSU, not just a small PSU; also get a low profile cooler 37mm Noctua or similar 11/18/2018 3:58:39 PM

Pros: Overall good finish of metal parts. You will need a mini SFX PSU, and about the only AMD4 cooler I can find that will fit is the Noctua NH-L9a AM4, 37mm, for Intel builds you will want the slim low profile CoolerMaster fan for about $12.. The Wraith AMD Cooler will not fit in this case - bumps up against just about any PSU. Tricky build because of the tight interior space. Low marks because of the lack of a helpful manual.

Cons: I have to ding this case because the manual is just awful. Be prepared to redo your build about 4 different times as you learn the order in which parts must be installed. This case needs a fan on the bottom of the case to move air. That means removing the shiny metal part with large holes that the manual shows you holding a 3.5 and a 2.5" hard drive. You can't put the fan on the bottom without removing this metal part on the bottom. The good news is that you just have to remove one screw, you can loosen and keep in place the two shiny screws. With this box you may want to go with a M.2 drive, if that is an option (it is with the ASRock AB350 Fata1ty mini-ITX ac). A 2.5" SSD will fit underneath the optical drive metal shelf, so keep that in place; or you could mount a 2.5" SSD vertically behind the front of the case. Don't get a normal, even a smaller 400/500 watt PSU, for this box because it won't fit. You need a SFX PSU, which is tiny. I didn't realize that this was a requirement, not optional, so kind of a hassle. Also, your Wraith AMD Cooler won't fit inside the case, or rather it will but then it will bump right into your PSU. I'm little worried about the pop-in, pop-out plastic connectors holding the sides in place, but they do provide one replacement plastic clasp part. They are working fine for now, but I think you if removed them and put them back one too many times, the fit would become loose. I also had to do some gymnastics with the front panel USB connector shield, which is quite bulky. Not easy to work with this case and manual stinks. A YouTube video could sove this. Leave the two black metal sides off the case until you have absolutely confirmed that your build works.

Overall Review: I think this is a nice case. But the manual is minimal - has pictures but virtually no explanations in English. So long as you realize up front that you need a tiny SFX PSU, and special very low profile cooler Noctua NH-L9a-AMD4 in my case $39, and a very low profile, tiny, video card, you should be okay. If this additional information were provided up front, I would give this case another star. A few tips: leave the two sides off and do not reinstall them until you have verified that your system build works and all your fans are operational. My CPU stopped spinning after a cable re-route, so leave the sides off so that you can check to see that the bottom fan and CPU fan are working and not stuck on something. You may also want to boost the fan speed in your BIOS settings. The Corsair SF600 worked out fine with its flexible, modular cabling, it is an SFX form factor with completely modular cabling. You may want to connect the PSU to the motherboard and install the video card outside the box to make sure everything works fine before installing into the case. An M.2 drive would make this an easier build. A hard drive or SSD drive should go vertically against the front of the case or under the Optical drive metal shelf. You can't put hard drives on the bottom and install a fan on the bottom as well. I had to remove the shiny metal bottom platform to install my Gentle Typhoon fan. And I had to place slight shims under the fan so that the blades didn't scrape against the bottom of the case (not the best design in this regard). I had to install, remove, try re-installing, remove, and start over about five different times because the manual is not helpful.

If Lian Li hired an English speaker to prepare a detailed YouTube video, that would address many of my complaints. Or they could include a longer manual that explains A requires B which requires C and so on. Parts placement choices are not explained well at all in the manual. The metal finish is nice and there are no sharp ragged edges or burrs, so I appreciate that. The case looks good when finished. The finish can be scratched pretty easily, so work on soft surfaces. If you need to build several computers using this case, after the first trial and error, you will probably be happy with the case. But be warned it has a steep learning curve due to the very limited internal space.

Beautiful but cramped 8/9/2018 7:08:37 PM

Pros: So small and sleek.
Looks beautiful on desk and saves a lot of space.
Affordable price.
Easy to open panels that just snap into place.

Cons: With a graphics card, non-modular power supply and a 3.5 inch hard drive it IS CRAMPED!
Can get warm to the touch during gaming because it's so tight but so far not dangerously so.
My fat fingers can barely get passed the RAM modules/hardrive area.
Difficult to plug everything in because something is always in the way lol
I'm not trying to talk anyone out, just understand that without a modular SFX PSU, and if you use a 3.5 HD you gonna be squished!

Overall Review: Highly recommend a modular power supply if you get this. The excess cables are just stuffed in there.
This would be the perfect case for just using on-board video.
When you start adding a graphics card, a larger 3.5 inch desktop Hard drive and it gets full fast.
But it does help that you can easily snap off the doors to quickly fix problems.

awesome looking little case from lian-li 1/17/2016 7:26:18 PM

Pros: - full brushed aluminum looks amazing
- has room for lots of drives, 2-slots video card, slim odd
- a m-itx case that actually is small for once
- removable motherboard tray is a boon to work with in such a small case

Cons: - becomes a toaster when putting 2 drives at the bottom with a 2-slots video card (i have an evga 750ti sc)
- cannot use a regular 120mm fan + 2-slots video card, maybe a slim fan, but i don't have any to test this, wasn't specified anywhere
- 7mm thick drives work on the bottom bracket with a 2-slots video card, but not 9.5mm, it touches the fan blades
- motherboard backplate has a large cut-out, great, BUT, it doesn't cover the whole area where cpu backplate might be, and mine doesn't align well, i would need to unscrew it to change the backplate, defeating the purpose of the cutout
- next to no airflow

Overall Review: would buy again for anyone wanting a clean and professional looking super tiny computer. can put lots of stuff in there. 100$ for a lian-li case is also very nice and affordable, i'd always been wanting to have one!

Tiny Beauty 11/1/2015 9:47:52 AM

Pros: Small. Manufacturer's measurements include feet and pci bracket. Excluding these protrusions the chassis dimensions are HxWxD: 246 x 149 x 218 mm (9.69 x 5.87 x 8.58 inches) making this 8.0 Liters.
Removable motherboard tray really helps.
Nice rubber feet.

Cons: Tall mITX GPUs such as the Asus GTX970 Mini card may not fit without mods. With that card the pci-e power cable's connector extends past side panel preventing it from closing.
I had to mod a right angle power connector.

60mm tall coolers such as the Zalman CNPS8900 Extreme will touch the SFX PSU; I moved the PSU all the way to side panel (2mm mod) but even then at high rpms the fan blades warp enough to still touch the PSU.
You'll need shorter coolers like Noctua NH-L9i, Thermolab LP53, or Cryorig C7 etc.
