Chenming’s server case is designed to hold lots of equipment in a relatively small space. The motherboard tray can handle the 12x13 EATX boards for server applications. There are 10 drive bays, four external 5.25” and six 3.5” (two external, four internal). It’s all wrapped up in a charcoal black shell supported by a 1.0mm SECC frame.
System setup is a simple process. Take out the 3.5” drive bays, install the motherboard and while the bays are out, install the drives then put the bays back in. The 5.25” bays have sliding rails to make optical drive installation a snap. Once it is all set up and running vents in the side of the case will help to keep things cool.
As system power needs increase power supplies are getting larger and heavier. Chenming took this into account when designing the case and installed structural rails along each side to support the PSU. This will also help the overall structural rigidity of the case.
1. 0mm SECC CoatingThe Chenming CMUI-P-601AEB-0 features a 1.0mm-thick SECC steel coating for the minimum risk of damage to computer components inside.
Great Expandability with 10 Drive BaysFeaturing four 5.25" external drive bays, and six 3.5” drive bays (two external and four internal), the Chenming CMUI-P-601AEB-0 provides great expandability.

Pros: The case was pretty cheap. The case itself is fairly solid. The hard drive shuttles pop out at the push of a latch. The CDROM slots run on rails that click in. The hard drive only slot comes with a holder for an 80mm fan to cool the drives.
Cons: If you are going to use a dual proccessor motherboard (i.e. Tyan S2892G3NR), beware. On many of the dual proc systems one of the processors sits right in the middle of the hard drive shuttles. I ended up doing a little case modification so that the heat sink wouldnt hit the hard drive holders.
Overall Review: Other than the hard drive shuttle problem, I have been quite happy with this case.
Pros: Solid construction, removable 3.5 inch drive bays. 120mm rear fan, tooless 5.25 bays. Plenty of room for longer power supplies like the PCP&C 750W unit I use. Front panel USB ports. Wide enough to accomodate those monster CPU coolers like the THermalright 120's
Cons: Removable 3.5 bays have a lever retention mechanism that gets loosened when you pull side cover off. Airflow is ok but not as good as some other ChenMing cases I have. Wish the mobo tray was removable. Heavy, The ase alone is about 35 pounds with nothing in it.
Overall Review: I bought this case for a new gaming rig I was building. My first choice was the CHENMING CMU-AL-602-BK but Newegg stopped selling it. This was the runner up. IT's very similar to the CHENMING CMU-AL-602-BK but no window, just a vented side which was helpful. It is a server case after all so don't expect a lot of bling. It's built like a fortress and could probably make a great jackstand for your car when you're done using it for a computer. It doesn't have any front audio ports but does have front USB ports, again this is meant to be a server case. There are a few sharp edges but they aren't located anywhere you'd normally be putting your hands for say a CPU, RAM or Video card swap. All in all It's a great value and you do feel like you got what you paid for just from it's weight alone. For me it was the next best thing without paying 2 to 3 times as much for a Lian-Li

Pros: It's an E-ATX case, but doesn't cost an arm and a leg. No unneeded frills. Roomy for most situations, I'd imagine. Comes with an 120mm fan already.
Cons: The door locking mechanism is flimsy, and mine came broken out of the box. No biggie though, just screw it on like any other case and you're good to go.
Overall Review: You may have trouble with dual processor E-ATX boards, specifically socket 771. The heatsinks have to bolted to the case, but this one doesn't work right. Use some nuts or drill new holes. The drive cages also kind of got in the way, but it was the MB's fault too.
Pros: A sturdy, good-looking case with plenty of space for a variety of computer parts.
Cons: Like all doors on computer cases, some users may find it obtrusive when attempting to access drive bays, if the users aren't willing to remove the door and deal with the potential aesthetic issues.
Overall Review: I was worried that my new computer build was going to be soured by purchasing this case, but I've found myself rather pleased with the product. A worthwhile budget PC case that doesn't look like it was purchased on a budget.
Pros: Very sturdy, durable, Antec/Cheiftec quality, streamlined (non boy-racer) looks, TONS of room, Screw kit.
Cons: Its heavy and large, but for good reason. I wish the front air inlet was easier to clean dust away. I would have preferred two 120mm side vents that were exactly sized to create a better push-pull vacuum inside the case, but still its plenty cool inside.
Overall Review: This is the third case I've had of this series. The first one was a Antec variety which was just slightly nicer with more LED indicators on the front and nicer graphite paint. This is my case of choice because of its easy of installation (Removable drive bays, plenty of room, smart rail design on the cdroms, side door that opens quickly and sturdily. One of my cases has a larger server-type size (I forget exactly how big) and it is a tight fit as others have mentioned, but it does fit. The door is not flimsy as others have mentioned.. I wouldnt walk into it, but its not cheaply made as some have indicated - you can kind of slam it shut because it has some weight to it, which is nice. The door on the chieftec is actually a little thicker/stronger than its Antec brother.

Pros: Great cooling performance. Solid construction. Tried and true Antec/Chieftec/Chenming design. Plenty of room for nvidia 8800gtx SLi setup.
Cons: Front door doesn't allow for bay devices with protruding buttons. Though, front door is easily removed and case still looks great.
Overall Review: You can actually mount two 120mm fans on the two side vents using the screws from the "duct" which can then be discarded. As long as fan speeds are kept moderate, no noise will come from the air passing over the grating. CPU temps are down 5-8c from identical system in a competing "premium" case. Ideal airflow for nvidia 8800gtx SLi setups.
Pros: Air flow is TOP NOCTH.
In the Hard Drive bay theres a bracket for a 80mm fan. Cools it very well. The side airduck is a big + for keepin the processer cool. Also mount a 80mm fan under that in that square vent for the sake of your---> VIDEO CARD. Think about it. That GPU has a large work load on it.
Cons: Well ok it,s heavy.
"And those people stating that the door is cheap, cheesy, and weak. Don't believe it. They must be rough with their CPU cases.
Overall Review: This is my second one like this. I've got the first one about 4 yeare ago and it's still perfect to this day..AND THE DOOR IS STILL IN GREAT SHAPE! Just treat it like a Lady and every thing will be fine. ENJOY!
Pros: cheap, e-atx expandability, no psu, massive airflow, roomy interior, imposing and bold aesthetic makes a statement
Cons: kinda big and ugly, stock fan, no intake filter, optical drive retention,
Overall Review: this is a big and heavy case that, for me is an idication of quality. I bought 4 of these to house systems that make up my renderfarm of dual 1.6lv D1 Xeons on Asus PC-DL's that are overclocked to 3.2 and this case is working great. First thing I did was replace the stock exhaust fan with a soft-mounted Panaflo FBA12G12U (114cfm) and 2-80mm fans zip-tied to the mesh on the removeable side panel of the case for additional intake that blows directly at the processors. This worked out better than I had planned as all systems are running cool and bone stable. I am expanding my farm by at least 3 more dual xeon systems and will be buying more of these cases in the future... a total of 7-8 of these cases stacked up is pretty awesome : ) cheers
