Pros: 1. Built like a tank -- very sturdy and solid. 2. Tool-free design -- easy to work on/in. Removeable drive cages and front bezel are great, as well as optical drive rails and screwless front fan mounts. 3. Great airflow with rear 12cm and 2 front 8cm fans. 4. Consolidated USB and Firewire jacks, instead of a separate wire for each jumper. Saves time! 5. Unlike the Chenming 301, the 501 allows you to remove BOTH side panels, which helps with cable management. 6. NO DOOR! Finally a good looking, classy case without a door. Unless you are using mis-matched drives or have security issues, why would you want a door? It just gets in the way and is one more thing to break. 8. Great pricepoint. Antec quality and style for half the price.

Cons: 1. Built like a tank, so it's very HEAVY. But if you aren't dragging it to LAN parties, then that shouldn't matter. Other than that, I can't think of any.

Overall Review: This is a great case, as are most of the Chenming cases in the *01 series (301, 501, 601/02, etc). I recommend them to all of my clients. If you have a RAID array, multiple optical drives, or an extended MOBO, this may not be the case for you, since it is just a mid-tower. But for most standard ATX systems, this is a great choice. For the same case in a larger format, see the Chenming 901A. Sadly, the 901A is only avail in beige, unless you custom order direct from Chenming.

Pros: Great-lookin case resembling old-school Antec/Chieftec designs. It has great mounting options that allow for removable opticals and harddrives. Also has a 120mm fan rear exaust fan as well as the space to add a 80mm to kool the HDs that makes for effective cooling.

Cons: it's built like a tank, but weighs like one as a result!

Overall Review: i'd reccomend swapping out the 120mm fan for a Scythe 4710KL-04W-B19-VB2 120mm Case Fan if you wanna keep those Db's down.

Pros: Solid build. Nicely labeled connections. 120mm fan included. Aesthetically pleasing. Well priced.

Overall Review: It comes with a 120mm fan installed in the back, but it accepts two more 80mm fans for the front, so be sure to pick those up when you order this. For this price, you aren't going to find a better case. It's heavy, durable, and installation is a breeze.

Pros: Nice, thick metal and high quality plastics. Very solid and attractive design. Very high quality and well engineered and designed. Quick release HDD cage works very well and is very handy. This is one of the nicest features of this case and works very well. Optical bays use a system of quick release “guides” that screw to the side of the drives and then allow you to slide the drives into the bays. They “click” into place at the proper position so you don't have to fuss with aligning them relative to the front panel. USB and FW ports on the front are a nice touch and are hidden from view by a small hinged panel. Front panel vents are well designed so you get plenty of air coming in the front of the case. Fan grilles are well designed and allow plenty of air to pass through. Comes with a lot of extra hardware, (screws and standoffs etc.)

Cons: Texture of painted surface is a little rough. Not too bad but still not as smooth as I would like. Stock rear 12cm fan has a bit of that "wind tunnel" noise at full speed but I was able to dial down the speed using a fan controller and it is much quieter now and still moves a sufficient amount of air.

Overall Review: This is my second ChenMing case. My other one is the beige version of this same case but with an 80mm fan in back instead. I purchased this black one based on my good experience with the beige one. I looked at many different cases before buying this. I wanted a case with no vents on the side panels and no doors in the front covering the optical bays. For what I want, nothing comes close to the quality and design of these cases. Ordered case on a Friday. NewEgg delivered next day!

Pros: - One quick release 80mm fan port right in front of hard drive cage is excellent for 10k hard drives - one more at the bottom of the case for extra air movement in the case. - 5.25" bays load from the FRONT so you don't have to worry about squeezing them past the motherboard and power supply. - Excellent fit and finish of all parts (removable 3.5" bays for both external and internal drives detach and reattach with ease). Heavy-duty construction (even plastic face is tough and doesn't feel flimsy). - Plenty of room to work. - 120mm fan works fine for me (especially with two 80mm fans in the front quick-release setups). - Perfect size for a mid-tower case...holds three 5.25", two 3.5" external, and three 3.5" internal. - No power supply is a plus for me because I'd rather have all the money I spend on the case go into the case and then get a name-brand PSU to install.

Cons: - Not a thing really...well, the back side of the case would look better if it was black to match the rest of the case.

Overall Review: - Other cases that sell for twice as much are sometimes not as nice - this case has a well thought out design and its an excellent value!!

Comments: Solid and heavy, this case weighs as much empty as my previous one did with the entire system installed. It also features strange ventilation. There is space for 2 80mm fans up front, including one in the 3.5" hard drive bays, along with the provided 120mm fan in the rear. Other than that, there's nothing to be found: no side vents or holes on the back around the expansion slots. As such, I wouldn't recommend it for anything high-end in terms of expansion or video cards. Other reviews are accurate about the stability of the front USB and 1394 ports--the door mechanics seem to be mounted on the PCB with the ports themselves, and the simple act of closing the door bends the PCB slightly from the force applied to the door. I have also managed to snap one side of the PCB off its mounting while plugging things in; it did snap right back into place, but it doesn't bode well for the durability of the front ports.

Pros: Build quality; this thing is built like a tank! It has rolled and/or filed edges, and simply looks great.

Cons: Thin paint scratches easily on the creases, loud stock fan.

Overall Review: I'd happily buy another for my next build.

Pros: -Solid construction. -Beautifully designed door (easy to open/remove, snaps shut. -Everything goes together very easily - holes line up perfectly, nice drive bay setup, HDD case very nicely designed, etc. -I really like the space for 2 80mm fans right behind the HDD cage. -Plenty of screws, rails, etc.

Cons: -WATCH THE POWER BUTTON! Mine sticks, and I didn't notice it at first. I thought it was a memory issue as the system would start booting and then power down after a few seconds. The button is very poorly designed. -Cheaply designed USB/Firewire port on front - as mentioned by many here. -PSU mounts with 4 screws - no support anywhere else - so it kind of slopes down a tad. could use better support toward the front of the PSU. Not a big deal. -Absolutely zero documentation - but I didn't need that. A 1st time builder might.

Overall Review: Overall a very decent case. I'd buy it again. For the price, I like it. Just be aware that the power button is designed in such a way as it may stick down and cause boot failures unless you press it a certain way (press on the left side of the button). For 1st time builders... those plastic/steel thingies attached to the floor are your drive rails. They pop right out and screw into you optical (or whatever) drives.
