Antec NSK4480 Black/ Silver 0.8mm cold-rolled steel construction ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 380W Power Supply

Pros: Inexpensive, quiet, looks like a computer and not something from a bad sci-fi movie, comes with exactly the power supply I wanted.

Cons: Considering my needs and the price, none. Other reviewers whine about what this case doesn't have that more expensive cases would have. I guess I would have liked the big fan to have speed control and tach, rather than just hooking up to 12 volt peripheral power, but it does have a three-speed switch on a flying lead.

Overall Review: My case was delivered with perfect fit and finish, comes apart and goes back together easily and I haven't cut myself yet. I have covered all the side vents with matt black card. You can't really use the fan at the bottom-front because the front bezel almost completely blocks its ventilation holes, however there is good ventilation above it, just where it is needed by the 3.5" drive bay. I have never understood why cases run with negative pressure so dust is sucked in through all the cracks, including the optical drive tray. I plan to try reversing the big fan to pull air into the case through a piece of filter foam. I don't think the power supply fan will suck it all out again, so there should be flow over the drives and out the front.

Pros: Affordable, especially with the included Earthwatts 380W PSU, and especially when it's on sale or has rebates. Had no trouble installing Bioforce TF8200 motherboard, though I did not need to install any expansion cards for this build. Quiet 120mm rear case fan. Power supply cables are easily routed through the provided opening. Plenty of room to manipulate the cabling even with a SATA DVD drive installed. No sharp edges. HD cage has rubber grommets to reduce HD vibration/noise. Side panels were easy to remove and replace

Cons: No drive rails for 5.25" drives. Non-removable drive cage makes HD installation annoying. My small retail AMD heatsink, as placed on my AM2 motherboard, got in the way during hard drive installation. Be sure to install all hard drives before installing the CPU heatsink. It will be troublesome to add a hard drive later without removing the CPU heatsink.

Overall Review: I bought this case for about half price after discounts and a mail-in rebate. But if it's not on sale, or if your budget has some flexibility, consider upgrading to an Antec Sonata. I'd have given 5-stars if the base price was lower. The power button glows blue when the computer is on - you may or may not like this. The CPU sleeve vent doesn't line up with the CPU on an AM2 motherboard, but it doesn't interfere with the small retail AMD heatsink I used. No silencing materials besides rubber HD cage grommets. My parts were all low-power and quiet, but with higher end / hotter parts, it might be a noisy case. Pros: 120 mm fan is quite on low/medium. Easy to install my system in, plenty of room and solid construction.

Cons: Reset button connector did not work with my mobo.

Overall Review: For someone who doesn't like cases with side "windows" this case is perfect. 120mm fan is loud on high, barely noticeable on medium, and really really silent on low. I left my pc on the first night for patching and turned off the monitor. Work up yesterday and didn't even realize I left the pc running because I couldn't hear the fan on medium above the background noise. Even thought the fan is decent I'm still replacing it and adding two 80mm fans with the auto temp controls.

Pros: It's been a little while, so I wanted to add to my initial review. With no reassembly difficulties whatsoever, I've been in & out of this case at least a dozen times with new installs/tweaking & routine cleaning (something I do monthly - I have my system sitting 3-1/2 feet up on a sturdy cabinet, but my lovable & endearing service dog is one of those walking static hair bombs, so pet dander is always a problem with case fans sucking in good airflow to cool everything down - I added washable a/c filters cut to fit, but still...)

Cons: For what I paid on special sale from NewEgg with free S&H, absolutely ZERO! If I'd paid a lot more, I had some nits to pick, but NOT at the price I paid delivered, no way!

Overall Review: You DO have to remove the top panel to get the side panels off & unclipping & pulling the front panel to install DVDs & card readers is a very minor, easily dealt with annoyance. Sale price versus value makes this case/PSU combo a WINNER! Antec includes a small rail to mount on the rear of the case chassis to facilitate lining up the top panel - it does so for me flawlessly. Never had a problem getting in & out this case. Never a single problem putting the side panels and top back on. Yeah, I have my wiring neatly bundled up so as not to impede airflow, so I have to unplug the optional 80mm fan I added to the side vent when I pull the left panel off, but so what. I just don't see how you can beat this combo Antec case w/quality 380W PSU when NewEgg runs it on super special w/free S&H. So BUY it ALREADY for your econo-builds!

Pros: Sturdy, easy to work with. looks nice. It has a a handy platform on which to lay/tie down unused power hookups.

Cons: Nothing critical but the plug for the power light on the front was incompatable with the mobo I used. I had to do a little rewiring to adapt it.

Overall Review: I got a great deal when I bought this case with the sale price plus a sizeable rebate that arrived quicker than most.

Pros: Nice cases. Great power supplies. (Unless you're running two video cards, you won't need more) These provide plenty of juice with two 12 volt rails. This is an ample amount of wattage with a little bit of room to grow. (Look at what kind of amperage a supposedly "600w" cheapy power supply can handle on one 12v rail) The case came with enough screws to attach something to every single screw hole therein. Nice. It has rubber grommets where the hard drives attach for extra acoustic dampening. The side vent has an adjustable height snorkel for getting cool air directly to the processor. 3-year warranty. The brushed metal face gives it a clean modern/classic look that is really eye catching. HD light and circle around power button are blue LEDs. (lights up a bit inside) These are roomy cases. I was surprised how easily I could put my hands through the case entirely when I attached something. Just an overall high quality case and power supply for a good price.

Cons: Minor con. Heavy. But, I consider this to be physics fault, not Antecs. 0.8mm is thick steel.

Overall Review: I opened the box to find Antec had included an extra 3-speed 120mm fan. Apparently, from the included explanation, a few bad fans may have gotten past quality control. Instead of dealing with problems from those on a case by case basis, they just threw an extra fan in everyones box. Just in case there was any problem with the fan already installed. Thoughtful, and probably the honest thing to do. Go Antec. I appreciate a company that pro actively addresses their own possible mistakes and their customers possible future needs. That's how you win loyal customers. Bravo. I won't forget that. If you are thinking of buying a cheap case, then a power supply too, take a close look. When you add it up, you'd spend close to this much for lesser quality components. It's a quality case and a quality power supply for a decent price. A good overall value.

Pros: Don't be fooled by the sticker price - this ends up being a situation where spending more gets you a lot more for your money. You can get one of the cheapest cases on here if you want, but if you want a nice power supply (like the Seasonic 380W in this case) you'll end up spending the same, if not more - and this is a far nicer case than the super-cheap ones.

Cons: I see what they were trying to do with the door arrangement and I like it, but it's not without flaws. It would be nice if there was a screw that would keep the motherboard-side case panel securely fastened once you take the top off and you lay the case down...instead, it gets popped loose any time you move the case around with it open. Plus, aligning the top can be a pain.

Overall Review: The 'unique' door arrangement isn't enough to knock off even a whole point for me, though. It's a solid case where it matters and it's a screaming deal. The included 120mm fan moves plenty of air and is dead silent, too.

Pros: Plenty of ventilation. Rubber grommets for the HDD's. Speed adjustable fan is large and quiet. Room for adding two more fans. two thumb screws actually hold down the top cover. removing the top allows removing both sides giving a commanding access to the upper drive bays and eases hiding unused cables. Very good power supply for basic computer. 3 year warranty.
