Question 1

Does anyone know the exact height of this case? Antec specs say it's 22.9" high but I'm hoping that number is overestimated. 
Due to the placement of my desk slide-out keyboard, I have just a tad over 22" to fit a tower (my Antec 900 Two fits fine and is also a full inch shorter than Antec specs). 
Hoping someone who owns one of these can do a quick measurement.

Hi Ryan,
I just took mine out of it's box; the specs Antec gives are pretty much dead-on. I measured it myself just to be sure. It measures 23" in height (that's accounting for the feet, 22.75" w/o the feet), 8.5" in width, and 20.5" in depth (front to back, taking into account the thumbscrews). Even if you removed the rubber feet, it would be just a tad too tall, I'm afraid. The 1100 would be a good fit for you (pun intended). Its height is 21.5". To be honest, I almost went with the 1100 myself, but I wanted a twin for my other 1200. I think it would be a great alternative. Hope this helps.

How loud are the fans included with this case?

Sorry for delayed response the fans have speed settings on the front and back they range from whisper quiet to somewhat noticable but this also depends on where you have the desktop placed with headphones you will not notice the sound of the fans all in all its a solid case.

Question 3

So when is says it only has one 2.5'' ssd drive does it mean you couldnt put another ssd in another 2.5'' for the computer?

There is one, dedicated mounting position for a 2.5" SSD on the bottom of the case. I used this mounting option to mount a Samsung SSD. BTW: Accessing the power and SATA cables in this position (at the bottom of the case just in front of the power supply) is awkward. However, the case has numerous drive bays that can be adapted to accommodate a wide variety of drives. Out of the box, you can mount a wide variety of 5.25" and 3.5" drives. Is there any reason to not use this with the new  AM4 motherboards?

Not really. I have a Ryzen 1800x in the MSI X370 Gaming Plus motherboard with 32GB (4x8GB) of RAM and a Corsair H100i v2 cooler. It's all powered by an EVGA SuperNova 850 T2. So far, I haven't had any problems, even after running Prime95 for a solid 24 hours. The case stayed cool, and the air flow was strong throughout. Your mileage may vary.

There is one important caveat, though: You'll probably need a separate fan controller. I just put a cheap one in mine, but the case has 6 fans that all need to be controlled separately, so you can either get cable splitters (not recommended), or a standalone controller.

how big is it?

It's quite large, but in my opinion, that makes it a much better case. Cooling is not a problem. I don't have the case nearby to measure it, but, if I had to guess I'd say it's inline with other Full ATX cases, possibly a little larger. I have large hands so a big case is a lot easier for me to work in.

I have a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, the heat pipes are about 5/8 inch or greater away from the case side.

You definitely don't need any more case fans other than what it comes with unless you plan to run 2 or more vid cards.  Even then I did bitcoin mining with my 2 cards and a fan on the side was enough to keep them cool.

Question 7

Would a Cooler Master V8 GTS fit comfortably in this case? A friend suggested it to me but I know very little about dimensions and want to cover all of my bases.

Yes, it shouldn't be an issue.  The case is a roomy full-sized tower.  The only thing I don't care for with this case is that it doesn't have many options for mounting watercooling units.  i did some light modding on mine to mount a push pull single rad in the front bottom for the cpu.  It just required slightly modding one of the media bays to mount one of the fans so that I could use the fan filter on the intake.  If you have any radiator install plans for dual or triple rads, I recommend looking at a specialized case for that, but if you just want a good solid full sized case and won't be watercooling, this is a pretty good case and stays well ventilated.

so if i but this gaming case will it workas a full pc.like no need to buy anything else?

No, this is just a shell to put everything in.  You'll still need a motherboard, computer processor, X amount of Ram, graphics card(s) etc.  If you're looking to build your own computer, you'll definitely want to do a lot more research since it's very easy to miss something like thermal paste and nuke your system.

6 fans total. There are two in the back, the huge one on top and the three in front, one mounted to each of the three hard drive cages. You can also add a side fan onto the removable door panel. You can see it in the picture, there's a black triangle area cutting into the Plexiglas, and that's where the fan mounts, pretty sure it's 120mm. Antec even included a removable filter for that side fan which is nice.

The difference I discovered when I got this case compared to the first generation 1200 was that all of the fans in this new one have the three-pin tiny plugs for attaching to the motherboard's SYSFAN jacks. The old 1200 I had used fans that were all Molex plugs. The newer case with SYSFAN jacks is a nice thing for monitoring fan speeds, but how many motherboards actually have SIX SYSFAN jacks? I bought an expensive ASUS DELUXE X79 mobo, over $300 and it only has 4 SYSFAN jacks. So I bought a Y cable and I run the two back fans on one SYSFAN jack (I had to snip the yellow wire on one of the plugs on the Y adapter which ensures that fan speed data from only ONE fan reaches the mobo for monitoring... no biggie, the speed control function still reaches both fans). Then on the big fan up to I simply used a 3-pin to Molex adapter and I just run that fan on normal power. The 3 front fans all have their own SYSFAN jack which makes sense, because those fans draw the air into the case, the other three are outbound.

Question 10

So i see that this case has alot of fans and air flow, but im trying to build like an actual monster and i wanted to get a water cooling system.  Does this case even need one because of all the fans? and does this case fit a water cooling system?

Yes and no...  this is a great case but unless you are willing to do some modifying for the water cooling.  I put a corsair h100i on mine but i had to bolt the radiator to the rear of the case and cut a hole for the coolant lines to run through...  i love it as you can see the radiator but it is slightly vulnerable so I have to be careful whenever i move it which isnt often given its size and weight.
